about

Awaken from your slumber of duress, and nourish your ears with a treatise in doom and despotism!!

"Hark and lo! As the angels of dust descend from the great volcano, smothering the ignorant underclass just as the religious overlords do. This is the end of life as we know it..."

Welcome to the world of Nether, a world overrun by a fiendish two-pronged assault - As a great eruption from the Earth's biggest volcano clouds the planet in dust, cutting off the planet's sunlight and killing almost all plant life stone dead, the earth is left with a dangerously low oxygen supply. Meanwhile, a few lucky souls discover a solution to this heinous problem, but alas a cult develops surrounding the mysterious source of oxygen, with some proclaiming it a miracle and calling it the work of God - a second coming, a Grand Salvation - but this, of course, only leads to yet more problems... Such is the stranglehold on humanity.

Congratulations for finding your way to yet another Infernal Symphony album - our 8th Dungeon Synth full release and 17th(!) album in total. Following on from the unexpected, yet highly ambitious and rapturously received sequel album, 'The Grand Salvation', this album does not pick up where the last left off - instead, I have crafted a faster, better, more intricate and more complexly woven fabric of fear with the rudimentary sounds of 16-bit sounds, as a prequel to that album's story.

The songs this time around take on a more varied and invigorating tone, full of exciting chord changes, suprising twists and turns, and generally feel more fully-fleshed out, and yet with the same horror-filled atmosphere we are famous for.

Furthermore, this is an album full of textures, highs and lows, and more memorable riffs than you can shake a crucifix at! The lore that these albums create is rich and detailed, and I hope you enjoy piecing together the implied story as each absorbing track plays out.

In biblical contexts, breath is synonymous with life. God supposedly breathed life into the world, and therefore, what good is life without breath? This concept is fully explored here, through the lens of a rich high fantasy sci-fi concept. Featuring 12 tracks of aural bliss, including the highly-acclaimed and popular single, 2019's 'Hereditary Enemies', 'Zealots Of The Nether' needs to be in your play list!

Thanks once again for listening, and get those oxygen masks at the ready. For this album will surely leave you breathless...
