INCLUDES MUSIC FEATURED IN 'The Secret Of Darkwoods' - A Free, Indie text-based open world RPG available on Steam NOW:

store.steampowered.com/app/2271590/The_Secret_of_Darkwoods/

A grim and forgotten medieval vestige of half-truths, festering in the smog of disease. A raw and authentic concept album of fantasy dungeon synth with some modern, unique elements.

"This is an excellent raw, dark dungeon synth album. There's no way I could replicate what you've done, and to me that's the sign of a great artist. Unique, familiar and unapologetically your own vision and sound"
- Gorgons Alter, fellow DS Artist.

This is Infernal Symphony as you've never heard it before. Our first dungeon synth album proper, this initial tome encompasses old school dungeon synth, dark ambient, fantasy and medieval dungeon influences to weave a tale about the black death and depravity.

A corrupt doctor, vexed by his oncoming demise, vindictively throws caution to the winds, and sets out to inflict the very pox which threatens his own life into the hands (and mouths) of others. Paradise will be lost, the peace forever broken. In the process, he comes across a forbidden artifact, granting him control over the elements and the supernatural ability to start and stop life on a whim.

Meanwhile, a farmer-turned feudal noble vassal from the neighbouring village returns to his ancestal home to find his parents struggling for breath and bearing dark buboes all over their skin, despite being only in contact with that very same doctor.
After witnessing them succumb to the bubonic plague, our hero encounters an otherworldly experience of magical destiny, and through grief and vengeance he vows to attain justice and avenge their deaths, attempting to make himself renowned and feared along the way.

Seeking to punish the murderous medicine man, and noticing a growing threat of troubled townsfolk who talk of a strange toxic Miasma clouding the lands, our hero departs for the local garrison, headed by Hygelac, the King, and his army generals, and yet a great deal more of this torturous, adventurous ordeal awaits...

Evoking a whole range of emotions and sensations, this album is truly a piece de resistance. It's queasy, uneasy and melancholy, and evokes a mixture of sonic elements from the likes of medieval chamber music, black metal, dungeon synth, keller synth, fantasy orchestral and doom metal to name but a few. This morose setting gives way to an adventurous aural spirit on occasion, equal parts whimsical, brutal, psychedelic and euphoric. And sometimes there are even moments of levity, too.

Each song was written with a story in mind, but feel free to listen at your own pace, and let your mind wander and take you to unknown places or distant Lands - wherever it may.

Ironically enough, during the creation of this album and the upcoming sequel, Demonic Bishop was inflicted by both a bacterial infection and frequent bouts of chronic psoriasis, causing difficulty breathing, itchy swollen skin and blotches of bumpy rash from head to toe. So, in a cruel twist of fate, the music contained within was created from and directly inspired by being as close as possible to having the plague without actually dying from it!!

'Plaguewielder Pt. I' takes from the best of the old and new schools of dungeon synth and pushes them through the Infernal Symphony filter to create an epic and dynamic audio journey, full of emotional highs and lows, multiple styles of dungeon synth, and a varied and absorbing album experience front-to-back!

This epic volume tackles numerous styles of dungeon synth with our best production value to date. This has been a real labour of love and incredibly fulfilling for me personally, so it is my hope that you take enjoyment from this humble offering and can only thank you for giving it your attention.

Thank you for listening and celebrating this landmark achievement with me! Ignore at your peril!

Good luck on the rest of your quest,
Dom
