josedenoche Aside from its outstanding predecessors, Dungeon Skate Rulez! EP is an experimental insight in Dom Bishop's creative process, where the hilarious and absurd are key factors to conceptualize an unique genre of DS that surpasses any logical standars of fun-made music. Don't browse any narrative on this one, because there isn't. Just imagine playing videogames non-stop with glitchy yet amazing tunes that'll keep your brain puzzling up the pieces for a better psychedelic retro gaming EXP.๐Ÿ˜โš”๏ธ๐Ÿ›น๐ŸŽฎ Favorite track: Spin Termission.

about

Suprise!! Merry Skatemas one and all. Yes, in a suprising and idiotic twist, I have seen it fit to release a dungeon skate EP just in time for the holidays!!

The 'Dungeon Skate Rulez! EP' is here for the ride, and is a snapshot of flip tricks and Madness. A bootleg Japanese dungeon skate import, this EP is like playing a Tony Hawk game which gradually becomes more and more glitched and cursed - a disturbingly fragmented blend of psychedelia, chiptune, comfy synth and boom bap.

Going back to the roots of Dungeon Skate as a genre just a little bit, this EP attempts to blend the wild creativity and spontaneity of 'Slaves To The Grind', with the expert songwriting and production quality of 'STTG2' . The overall result is this - a 7 track EP, written and recorded over the space of a few weeks, which eschews any pretence of taking things seriously and gets back to basics in a big way.

Over the course of creating 'STTG2' , I noticed that it just wasn't as fun to make as the initial LP. I put too much pressure on myself to outdo the first album, and although the music turned out better, it just didn't capure the same feeling or vibe for me personally. So, this collection was approached with the most casual, laid-back mindset possible. Writing music purely for fun, without pressure or expectation.

This EP collects and polishes a few unfinished turds - er, songs- leftover from the 'Slaves To The Grind' and 'STTG2' writing sessions, in addition to 4 brand-new tracks written from the ground up. It was a fun experience to try and adapt the dungeon skate style I've developed over the past 6 months, and see what other weird directions it can be contorted in whilst still retaining that signature sound.

I want this to be a thank you letter to all of my incredibly loyal fans who have single-handedly made this the most successful year of my musical career ever, and it's all thanks to this dumb little microgenre I made as a joke. Win!

So, thank you for supporting Infernal Symphony, thank you for supporting dungeon skate, and from the bottom of my halfpipe, Merry Christmas!

Infernal Symphony is music made not with professional budgets or fancy hi-tech production values, but with intellect, passion and soul. It is not designed to be easy listening, but a window into the cruelest and most desperately evil parts of the human psyche.
