The second album by the UK's Infernal Symphony The Poisoned Chalice picks up from where the malice of "Unholy Persecution" left off, displaying a raw and potent core sound that penetrates the listener's soul with horrendously dark riffs and haunting, ominous lead passages, delivering a harrowing look at human interactiion through the eyes of a ravaged soul..

A sound first showcased by surprise lead single "Crimson Palace" a mere few months after the first album's release, this track was picked up on by renowned Brazilian metal page Epicus Doomicus Metallicus and shared as part of their "new this week" hot song lists.

The creation of this album was a little more challenging than the first, but by building upon past successes it reaps obvious rewards as it menaces and frightens with better production, tighter and leaner hooks, more streamlined tracks and a grittier, sharper and heavier guitar tone than anything we have recorded before.

The sounds of a personal conflict echoing those of all typical man-made and religious ones has never sounded so fierce. Betrayal, sacrifice, heartbreak and the awful bombshell of a once-hopeful union being snatched away and reaching armageddon through haunting pieces such as "Molten Heart", "Tree Of Woe" and "An Insufferable Debt" has, quite possibly, never been put to music in such a horrific, discordant and disturbing way, mixing many different styles including death metal, doom, funeral dirge, progressive rock and thrash.

Upon purchase or preorder of this album you shall receive 5 tracks to listen to or download instantly (with the full album being unlocked upon release), intimate liner notes from DNB, extended downloadable bonus artwork, and a free bonus EP of exquisite deeper cuts which didn't make the full album for your act of generosity.

Thank you once again, and stay close, Infernal Hordes.
